Parent Communication is an important piece of each student's education. The school and family should be a team working together to help cheer on, support and encourage each student to do their best.
A teacher blog would help to:
- Get important information to parents like concert dates and times
- Create an authentic audience for performances and learning that happens outside of concerts parents see
- Make connections with other elementary music classrooms globally by publishing performances. Currently, I use Twitter and Instagram to do this! Check out my accounts:
I agree Katie! Parent involvement is such a key point in a successful education between teacher and student. I think a teacher blog would be a great addition to your classroom and may increase people's involvement with your twitter and instagram accounts as well. You very concisely answered 2 separate blog assignments into one. :-)

DeleteI wonder if a blog would be more helpful to connect with others who have students like mine. I do love reading other people's blogs of ideas and resources to reenergize myself when my instruction is feeling stagnant.
